I don’t know why I’m trying…
I used to think a career in art was so close, but now I realize that it is leagues away, and that I will probably never reach that goal.

I have so many problems with my drawings that I can’t even pick up a pencil anymore because I’m afraid of the result. I’m tired of drawing people facing forward or sideways, or at a third quarter view, with no perspective, and doing nothing but standing. I’m tired of it, yeah, I’m halfway decent but that’s nothing. Nothing at all, it doesn’t even compare, I’m just so mediocre it hurts. Foreshortening I will never understand and every time I try it looks ridiculously wrong.
I really thought I had something, I really did.

But as I get older its kind of dawning on me that I’m just being lied to by everyone around me because they /haven’t seen/ and they just /don’t know/. They don’t see the competition.
